I'm not fine with a non-contributor getting ice time. Period. Why waste the space in the lineup?

I mean, I'd much rather have Salvador back, but it is what it is.

Neither King nor Janssen are difference makers. They aren't going to make a damn bit of difference on where we finish in the standings...and neither would play a single minute for us should we make the playoffs.

I'm fine with Janssen getting a few minutes of playing time a game during the season. And like I said before, I am intrigued by the guy we got in the trade.

I like this deal.
Plus fackin' plus. Mainly because I just don't think that DJ and Cam are so imortant that anyone should have a shat-fit over whether they are or aren't on the team. DJ isn't so much better overall than Cam that I'm going to worry about this until October. I mean, it's not going to stop the Blues from winning the Stanley Cup or anything.

Why the hell did you need to remind me about John Kelly? I was hoping that he was a UFA and would have been picked up by Atlanta or Tampa for a couple of draft picks and future considerations... DAMMIT!

Just noticed Della Rovere wears #19 as well. And you've gotta like that big ol' fat C on the front of his jersey. We should have him face off in fights against Cam and Brewer. If he beats down both of them, he takes Cam's spot on the team and automatically becomes Captain? Whaddya say?

How about we just have him beat up Brewer for the hell of it?

I just disagree that he's a decent fighter(he hangs in there and takes his beatings well, but seldom wins), and as far as hits.........his conversion percentage on attempted checks is lower than Boyes' shooting percentage last year. He hits the boards, makes noise, and the fans cheer.

I could care less if the dude gets three minutes a game. I just honestly believe that that he has no more (physical) impact then Brad Winchester.

It's not that it really 'hurts' the team that he's on the roster, but it's not a positive on any front other then PR.

And this differs from King, how?
I don't hate Janssen.
Yeah, he sucks...but let's be honest, so did King.
Yeah, King was a much better fighter, but I disagree with you on Janssen sucking at fighting...he's a better fighter than you described. Good fighters have to be able to take punches, and Janssen hangs in there better than just about anyone and NEVER gives up in a fight...he's always telling the refs to stay away and he just wears down the other guy...and then he finishes strong.
His fights are entertaining. He may not win most of them, but he doesn't lost a lot of them either. A lot of them are draws in my opinion. Janssen is usually losing early and then wins the 2nd half of the fight.

I appreciate Janssen's passion to play in St. Louis. I dig that.
And we got an interesting prospect for King. I dig that as well.
I'd much rather have the type of guy we got than a worthless, boring 5th round pick.

The organization as a whole is probably a tiny hair better after the King trade. So I don't see a problem with the move at all.
The guy we got may never see the big league roster, but will anyone really miss King?
Not really.
Does it matter that we kept Janssen instead of King?
Not really...unless the Della Rovere kid turns out to be fun to watch.
