Super game played by The Blues!!! Almost everyone played very well, Elliott, Fabbri, Stastny, Schwartz, Brouwer, Pietrangelo, Bouwmeester, Shattenkirk, Jaskin, Upshall, Backes, Lehtera.

Only Edmundson played poorly, which might be expected by a rookie defenceman in his first NHL playoffs.

The Blues need to bring their "A game" in St. Louis, and put them away in Game 6.

Yep, and a bit before that as well. Sometime mid-late season he seemed to finally click. If this is what we get out of him going forward, his contract looks a ton better than it did 6 months ago.

That seems like a pretty harmless request, but consider the head coach. He would have to move a RHD to the left and he will almost certainly put Shattenkirk to that task. As a LHD against Chicago, Shatty wasn't exactly "good." Then again, none of the LHD have been that great in this series, so you'd have to decide if 22 on the right with 6 on a pairing is > 22 on the left with 41 on a pairing.

Hitchcock tried to "Hitch" this game in the 1st period. "Yeah, what the hell. I'll jumble the lines for no reason." Thankfully he came to his senses after that abominable 1st. Jaskin turned out to be a good play, though. I was terrified it'd be Paajarvi.

Good win, regardless of my nitpicking. Cheers to Brian Elliott. The gut says 91 will be on the hunt in Game 6. Get those handshakes Monday night, boys.
