If the schedule was set up that way and the Blues pulled a Blues and choked in rounds 1-2, then people would complain that the team played too little at the end of the season and they were rusty.

If the Blues were serious about the Cup they should schedule less games now and more at the end of the season so they would peak at the right time and roll into the playoffs firing on all cylinders.

That's what they did last season Comrade but obviously it didn't work. Too many games at the end of the season burnt them out.

MAKE UP YOUR MIND! You say the Blues schedule too few games at the start of the season because the snoozebirds are in the playoffs which gives them several games in hand and more games at the end of the season. Obviously it hasn't worked since the Blues haven't won a 2nd round playoff game since 2002!

So balance the schedule out like other teams and play more games at the start and fewer and the end!

What about the team's we're playing? Wouldn't they then have the option to propose a different date if the ones our team came up with didn't fit their schedule? Do they have some sort of rock/paper/scissors-style veto capabilities?

I mean, I'm asking totally serious questions here.

Many people have said over the years that the Blues purposely back load their schedule to avoid clashing with the Cards in October. Even if the league sets the schedule I'm sure the Blues can request some aspects of their schedule.

No, the Ringling bros circus is always in town in the middle of October at the STC, which is why we always have light schedules and road trips at this time of the season.

If the Blues were serious about the Cup they would win all 82 regular season games. Clearly this shows their lack of elite talent like Kane.
