Berglund had another assist this morning. Man, he's putting up points for Sweden. Maybe if we changed our colors to blue and yellow to fake him out on which team he plays for. Wait....

In an article on ESPN.com regarding Zetterberg's injury forcing him out of the Olympics, Sweden's coach said this:

"This is not what we wanted to happen but now it has and all we can do is see who will step up to fill the void," Marts told reporters Friday ahead of his team's game with Switzerland. "Patrik Berglund now gets to play a bit more and take more initiatives to grow."

I don't know a much bigger motivator than your coach at the Olympics essentially telling you that your country needs you to step up and play. Maybe it's silly to hope that this experience somehow pushes him to another level that will carry on when he returns to the Blues.

It's a great premise for a potentially cool story anyway....

In International Rues, after the first 3 shooters, the coach can chose anyone to shoot as many times as he wants.

I find it interesting that no one on this board has made a comment about Dustin Brown. He lives up to his reputation even in the Olympics. That knee on knee to Tarasenko was almost devastating.

Anyone notice after they won, Backes jumps up and down and congratulates the guy next to him, and Brown is all by himself?

I didn't notice the Backes thing, but the Brown hit pissed me off too. My first thought was that I hope they suspend him for the rest of the tournament. He does shit like that a lot. A LOT.

Holy shit, what an awesome game! Can't be too mad for Russia's loss - their PK looked like shit both times US scored. Oshie lighting it up in the shootout was unreal, I was split between cheering for him and feeling sorry for Bobrovsky in Russian goal.

But guys, can anyone honestly tell me you don't hate Justin Brown so much more now? The knee on Tarasenko was such a dick move. Asshole!
