Bad loss. Poor play leads to a loss to an average team that played and traveled last night. Not good enough.

All I can say is that it was really encouraging to see a team that was getting it's ass completely handed to them for a full period bounce back and finish really strongly. In the previous few years we would have been cowering and lost by a much greater margin. These guys are going to be fun to watch.

Also: What's up beetches?!

We were so bad definsively in the first half of the game, but I loved what I saw in the 3rd. Our penalty killing looked awful for the most part. C- effort, but at least it wasn't an F. I thought Halak looked ok, none of the goals I saw (I missed one) were soft. That toe save when he was sliding to the left was great, not just because of the save, but because he just looked so good positionally and was so calm and cool about kicking that shot out. I have to agree with Pang, he made a tough save look easy.

:plusplus: to the last two posts, glad to see folks are looking at the bright side and not completely negative. I completely agree on both posts.

It is his 'calmness' that some people are freaking out about...they see it as lack of urgency. I see it as what it is...it's his style. You want a goalie that doesn't get phased after a bad goal, who can keep his cool in pressure situations. I think it's awesome.

I love his calmness.

It wasn't like we were going to win them all.

We scored some goals, and what went wrong could easily be fixed.

I'd be much more 'down' if we would have lost 1 to 0

First game without Janseen....he is obviously the core of this team, guess where going to be losing for the next two weeks till he comes back.

Teh Cammie didn't play against Anaheim. There must be some other reason why they lost against Nashville...

There were some BIG lapses in defensive coverage, but other than that, the highlights looked pretty good. I watched a fwe games last season and this team definitely looks better than they did a year ago today.

From what this sounds like....

The Blues came out flat in the 1st period and recovered in the 2nd and 3rd. Problem with the recovery was every time they got within a goal, they would darn near immediately give up another one putting the lead back to 2. It was the 1st road game, so hopefully it was just a glitch in adjusting to playing on the road. Beat the Stars tonight and everything will be fine.
