Just an FYI, Halak was in net that night. But your point is still very valid.
Errr I was thinking of the Dallas game. Regardless, I watched that game, and yeah, they gave up two early sloppy goals, but they also fought back and made it a very close, exciting game.

The NHL on the Fly dudes keep praising Halak darn near every night. Even when the Blues are not playing. He earned their "2nd Star" in their 3 stars for players of the week. They called the acquisition of Halak the best move by any team this off-season. Completely agree.

Still want to see a road win and know it's going to happen. They just need to finish a game when they get a lead the way they start most of them.

Only one regulation loss in their first 7 games and they are on pace for 117 pts.
It's hard to complain about too much right now. I think anyone that is bitching about their play is just searching for something to complain about.

Fact is, they've looked very good so far.
Goaltending has been very good. Defense has been very good. Offense has been decent...could be a bit better as they should have a few more goals...but they're winning so it's adequate for now.

Even in the two OT losses they looked really good.

But really, any team can play well over a 7 or 10 game stretch. It's nice to watch this and I'm excited about they way they are playing, but they need to keep this up. Detroit is racking up wins, and Nashville is someway/somehow winning games. WTF? Nashville?

Barry Trotz is a warrior, dude. He has made so much out of so little. Yea, Lombardi is good and they have a solid D, but Martin Erat? David Legwand? These guys are NOT that good as individuals, but Trotz has found a system that is working, and its making the whole team look unstoppable.

Guy should be coach of the year every year IMO.

I can see the first happening, but Boyes is snakebit. It might be permanent. I've already counted more than 10 open nets that he has missed...it's kinda sad.

Yup, I've even stopped blaming him....there has to be paranormal forces involved here.

Dude needs to go see a witchdoctor or a Zen Master or something.

I think when Belfour was our goalie coach, he made a voodoo doll of boyes... bastard.
