This is going to be a quick series. They’re extremely overmatched.

The Blues are not playing with confidence or poise. They were put on their heals by The Bruins' finding their legs after 15 minutes, and their smothering forecheck, and they are on their heels and losing most of the races and puck battles. They had better start wanting this game more, or they're going to lose it.

The Blues not only need to kill this penalty. They desperately need a shorty!

Its always good strategy to take a penalty when you're down 1 late in the 3rd.

So Blais gets an interference penalty for putting his arm around Coyle, but Coyle doesn't get anything for clearly punching Blais twice in that exchange?

At least they got the kill, but not much time left.

At least they got the kill, but not much time left. I'd hate to see them have to pull their goalie. That usually just leads to a quick goal against.

The current score is extremely flattering to us. Feels like we should be down 8-2.

Boston has a different method of empty net scoring.

Felt pretty good when we were up 2-0 and then it all went to $hit... :(

Well, that's Game 1. Blues were clearly outplayed, but we said the same thing about the Sharks series.

Maybe that is the plan- give up Game 1 for lost, but hurt the key players so by the time Games 4, 5, and 6 roll around, the Blues have the advantage.

This game leaves me with zero hope. It seems like once the Bruins shook off the rust it was men vs boys for 38 minutes. Blues were manhandled.

Binnington had a .919 svp - that’s pretty damn good. Difference in the game was shots - Blues had 20, Boston had 37, almost double. Need more from the Blues defense.
