We could still be in this one if the Blues play the way they're capable of but based on the first 2 periods we'd need to dress 19 different players.

Wow, we looked absolutely terrible on a 4 minute PP.

And we follow up that pathetic PP by taking another penalty.

The only positive I can see here is we're only losing by two after playing one of the worst games I can recall in recent years.

Damn! No one can seemingly actually accept and hold a pass tonight.

Great example of not a single break going our way tonight. How many posts has Brouwer hit this playoff season?

Hasn't been just the 4 min PP it's been all game. The Blues look tired, overwhelmed and outmatched. Sharks players at a different speed than the Blues all game long.
For most of the Sharks power plays the Blues killers just like to stand around and watch the guy with the puck standing two feet away. Brilliant strategy.
Terrible night. Throwing the puck around, not just on attempted passes but also on attempted shots. It felt like the Blues had far fewer shots on goal than the stats apparently have them getting.
Two games in and there's no question to me that the Sharks are the better hockey team.

0 for 6 on the PP tonight...

You guys do look gassed for this game tonight - not seeing that jump in step as seen in the other games. But it's only 1 game. The test is do they rebound in game 3 - not necessarily win game 3 but play with the same energy we saw in first 2 rounds.WaukeeBlues wrote:The Blues look tired, overwhelmed and outmatched.

I'm very unhappy with the way The Blues played tonight. I hope we see them come out skating hard and hitting hard in San Jose.

This game can be used as a tutorial on shitting ones' collective pants in emphatic fashion. I hope they get it together quickly because Shark Tank is a tough tough place to play in.

Sharks cleaned up their turnovers. Blues couldn't generate odd-man breaks. Blues didn't seem to even bother thinking about shooting at the net, much less getting the puck into the offensive zone. Blues turned the puck over repeatedly in their own end. Were horrible on clearing attempts. The only Blues player who played well at all was Elliott and he can't win alone. 99% shit show in this one.

I lost track a few minutes into the first period of how many passes went into the skates. Just terrible execution all night long, they didn't seem able to make the simplest plays.
Re: GDT Game 2: 5/17/16 | 7:00PM CST | v Sharks | NBCSN/Y98
They looked like crap. Although they did have their chances... Made Jones look very good by hitting him in the pads when the rest of the net was wide open a few times. A couple posts and bounces our way and they momentum stops for them and it could have been a completely different game...
I'm trying very hard to not completely give up on them after one game.

When teams are really rolling well, like the Sharks were last night, it seems like they are playing 6 on 5. There was always a white jersey on the puck and another one nearby.
I just sat there mumbling "geez they're good" all night long.
