Coaches don't lead by example.
They lead by guiding, motivating and educating players.
Captains, Alternate Captains and players on the ice are the ones who set good examples to the other players and lead by example.

Yeah, sorry. But it's really a picture of fat Scotty Bowman (who will have my respect forever regardless of who he coached) hoisting the cup. As much as I hate the Red Wings, they don't seem to mind that he's not in as good a shape as they are.
