I definitely don't want to get into this with you 2 but I am curious. How many times did Jackman beat Owen Nolan's ass in his rookie year?
Like I said, just curious.
Well, if that's the way you want to break it down, how many times did Zetterberg beat Nolan's ass in ANY year?

We all know he didn't. He's never beaten anyone's ass.
What I remember of Nolan in Jackman's rookie year was when Nolan got in Jackman's face after being goaded by Jackman and Nolan ended up with a penalty. I do not recall any ass beating or any fight at all.
They most certainly did fight...and I believe Nolan got the extra penalty or something. And ok, maybe Jackman didn't beat his ass. After researching it, it's coming back to me now...but that incident may have been the deciding factor in winning the Calder.
And in response to your
"he's never beaten anyone's ass" comment, here is some analysis of some of Jackman's fights from his rookie season...courtesy of hockeyfights.com.
(take note: making blanket statements in discussion forums will ALWAYS come back to bit you in the ass)
Jackman lays a big hit on Morrow and Morrow takes exception. Pretty good tussle and Morrow has Jackman tied up and he is getting some good shots in. Jackman get free and lands a solid right. He switches to the left and lands another good shot and Morrow goes down.
This fight was all Jackman as he had the rights going like rock em sock em robots. Bykov tried to come back, but couldn't. Easy for Jackman, but props to Bykov for not turtling, he hung in there.
Bradley lands stuff to the shoulders. Hugging, and Jackman has it cocked. Nobody's throwing, they just look at each other, then Jackman starts to do his thing. Lands 3 or 4 shots to the face and the guy is clearley outmatched. Bradley tries to fire back, but nothing is landing.
Starts off with a scrum involving just about everyone on the ice, and Jackman and Grand-Pierre hook up and start to go. Couple quick rights by Jackman, couple by Grand-Pierre and then - POP - one to the right cheek by Jackman and that one stung. Grand-Pierre grimaces and turns his head away trying to shake off the sting. Jackman then calls in the linesmen as he realizes GP is done.
And I thought I'd throw this one in from '06, since Jackman got a 100% decision based on the site's voters.
Jackman hits Boughner hard from behind as the two come together and drop the gloves behind the play. Jackman unleashes a flurry of four rights while Boughner is bent over. Boughner is sent to his knees and his helmet flies off. Boughner stands back up and throws two rights as Jackman gets Boughner's jersey over his head and connects with two rights that send Boughner to his knees once again. Jackman continues to throw rights as Boughner returns to his feet and misses with two lefts. Jackman throws two more rights before the two fall to the ice with Jackman on top.
Is that good enough?
Jackman is a pretty good fighter, but he hasn't dropped the gloves much the past couple years...maybe due to his shoulder troubles.
