Pronger was a stud defenseman with very good offensive numbers (not far behind Lidstrom's) who also quarterbacked the PP as well as anyone with a great shot.
IMO, Pronger brought more to the table than Lidstrom because of the physical part of his game (which Lidstrom does NOT do at all) and his ability to make the long outlet pass better than anyone.
That was a huge part of the Blues game at the time.

I also remember saying many times that Lidstrom was/is an excellent defeseman who I'd love to have on my team...but I just preferred Pronger for the reasons I mentioned above.

The comparisons by some Wings fans at LGW of Zetterberg and Jackman during their rookie years is retarded. I actually remember people solely comparing their offensive numbers as to why Zetterberg should have won.

The thing with Jackman is, you actually have to watch him play. You can't judge how good a defenseman is by the box score. And the vast majority of Jackman haters at LGW, probably didn't watch him play but a handful of times. So they're just talking out of their ass.

Actually, Kerber and Chase had a real young kid on air that had cancer? (aids maybe) on last week, and they asked him who his favorite player was and he said "The General" and they asked him who was "The General " and he replied Stempniak. They told him they would pass it on and make sure it stuck.

The food was the best I've ever had at SNS. It was something else. My bill came to $12.12 and I gave her a $10 tip. We were there for an hour and a half to two hours. They were way understaffed - only those two women you see in the video. I was inebriated.
