King and McDonald are going to duke it out at centre ice - winner keeps #19..

Two goals by AM in a game = free happy meal for everyone in attendance!
A quick check of the Blues' web site seems to confirm my dream... :)

I surprised the Blues didn't try to 'honor' Drake by not giving out his number yet.

Yeah...WTF? I liked Drake and all...but it's not like he led the team to back to back cups or anything. Plus...he flat out sucked the last year and a half he was here.

Honoring him when he comes back is one thing...but not assigning a captain to "honor Drake" is assinine.

per jr

In St. Louis, McDonald will wear the same No. 19 he wore in Anaheim when he makes his debut Sunday against Calgary.

++I've always been a Drake fan, but I agree. I mean we are not talking Al Arbour or Barc Plager here.

Plus - he signed with Detroit, which in my mind, negatives any honors as long as he wears that disgusting jersey.

McDonald should get his 19 and King should go to the recently vacated 39 in homage of Kelly Chase.

I know you are kidding, but isn't 99 retired league wide? And Brewer gets to wear 4. What a joke!
If the Blues did land Selanne, I guess he'd have to go to 88, since 8 is in the rafters.

You know what I was thinking...

They say that they had asked Weight to waive his No-Trade about a week ago... and it was about a week ago that he actually started scoring.

Coincidence of not?

Any thoughts on who they wanted to trade him for... that first time, I mean?

Pretty sure it was still the McDonald deal. From the sound of it, they had been working on it for a while.

I bet it was the Ducks both times.... simply because I dont know how else you trade Weight and improve this year's team.
