Hockey Songs (Blues Related)

So me and my buddies are roadtripping to the game on Saturday and I'm wanting to make a hockey song mix for the trip. I've got most of the songs that pertain to the Blues plus a few others (Warren Zevon's "Hit Somebody (The Hockey Song)"), but anyone else have any suggestions? I'm coming up a bit blank on other songs...

What I want to know is why we never hear "The Final Countdown" anymore!

Though he is gone, “Dallas Drake” is a great one.

The original “I Wanna Drive the Zamboni” is cliché, but great too.

The Blues’ amateur mash-ups of “Cowboys From Hell” with techno tracks is horrible and unforgivable. Plus they use the Cowboy riff too many times in one game. Simply unforgivable.

Stop at the first truck stop and buy tapes from that small spinning rack on the counter. Whatever you get will be all good.

If it's good enough for long haul truckers it's good enough for your roadtrip!

The St. Louis Blues is a song by W. C. Handy.

Just saying.

Those are a couple of good lists, cprice. I'll check some of those out after I get off work tonight.

The Blues have thankfully not played it the first home two games this season. See, threats do work sometimes.

I wonder if that dancing hoosier is lobbying them for it?

I still have the list that someone posted on one of the earlier incarnations of this site years ago, but it'd take me like a month to type it all in. I'll see what I can do for a condensed version, though, and not all of these may be played still; the list is from '02, I think. I'll leave out all of the "typical" ones, like Evil Ways, I Fought the Law, etc., that are always played at every arena under the sun when a penalty's called.

Summer Song - Joe Satriani
Deuce - Kiss
Are You Ready - AC/DC
I'm Free - The Who
Good Times - Chic
Do Ya - ELO (played it the other night)
various songs from The Wall
Guilty - Gravity Kills
Save Yourself - Stabbing Westward
Sabotage - Beastie Boys
Imperial March - John Williams (actually, quite a lot of stuff by John Williams, including the Olympic theme)
Cinnamon Girl - Neil Young
Badlands - Springsteen
Lust for Life - Iggy Pop
Poundcake - Van Halen
Stranglehold - Ted Nugent
Thunderstruck - AC/DC
Twilight Zone - Golden Earring
Train in Vain - The Clash
Whipping Post - Allman Bros.
Closer - Nine Inch Nails
Break Out - Foo Fighters
Fire Woman - The Cult
Falling - Gravity Kills
Machinehead - Bush
Atomic Dog - George Clinton

Yeah, I don't associate that song with that idiot. It was being played in hockey arenas long before he was around.
Whenever I hear the song, I think hockey...and that's fine by me.

Any song with the line "What's a Teemu anyway?" is an instant classic.
