Re: 2015 Baseball Thread

I am only posting this because Mike Evans on KTRS 550am just said this during his segment. He said baseball is so boring that 10% of fans fall ASLEEP during games! Hilarious. I know. I have done that myself but it was on the couch during a zillion pitches and foul balls!

Re: Round One : St. Louis Blues v Minnesota Wild

Cprice & richter, I don't how long you've been following the Blues but obviously not for long. An odd/calm confidence? Never been this optimistic? I heard the KMOX radio show after their crushing game 7 loss to the Flames in 1986 and Dan Kelly said this Blues team is destined to win or at least get ...

Re: Round One : Nashville Predators v Chicago Blackhawks

As poorly as the Hawks have played, the Preds have been just as bad down the stretch. Hawks in 6. The Preds have played better since they had 6 or 7 game losing streak in the winter. They seem to be able to turn it up when pressed and the Hawks pretty lousy performance the last 2 weeks led to me to...

Re: Round One : St. Louis Blues v Minnesota Wild

Ecbm, you obviously haven't followed the Blues for long. No way is this their deepest team ever. There are several that were deeper. Just as an example look at the 90-91 Blues. Hull, Oates, Courtnall, Scott Stevens, Brindamour, Jeff Brown, the Cavallini bros., Rich Sutter, Cliff Ronning, Rick Meaghe...

Re: Round One : Nashville Predators v Chicago Blackhawks

Even with Kane back too many other Hawks have been underperforming. I know Kane's return could help them but it's a question mark.

I think the Hawks could win but I still think Nashville has a slight edge and they could win in 6 or 7 games.

Re: THE OFFICIAL POLITICS THREAD

Now several illegals from last year's border surge as committing serious crimes from murder to assault to rape! And there is another border surge due this summer! From the Washington Times: As the Obama administration prepares for a new surge of illegal immigrant children this year, some of those fr...

Re: Round One : St. Louis Blues v Minnesota Wild

Cprice, HOW can you say the Blues are better? If you take out the last game (Wild rested 5 starters) they have a winning record against us. I saw all the Wild/Blues games this year except the last one and Wild clearly looked better. They are also the hottest team in hockey since the All Star break. ...

Re: Round One : St. Louis Blues v Minnesota Wild

The Wild have the best record in the entire NHL since the All Star break. Plus when they have their full lineup they match up just as good or better against the Blues than any other Western conference team. They really are the hottest team in the league along with Winnipeg and Ottawa. All those reas...

Re: Round One : Nashville Predators v Chicago Blackhawks

Kerfuffle, you said yourself that several Hawks are underperforming. Even Hossa and Sharp haven't really stepped up. Kane and Toews can't carry the team all by themselves.

I still think Nashville has a slight edge here.

Re: Milbruy & Jones' picks for Cup Champs

I hope the Hawks are done for a while assuming they don't win it this year. Saad is getting paid, Kruger less-so but still needs to be re-signed, Hossa is getting old, Sharp will probably be moved along with Oduya... Too much for them to give up. And they've already parted with Leddy for basically ...

Re: Round One : Nashville Predators v Chicago Blackhawks

Kane has just been cleared by the Hawks team physician to play full contact and will play game 1!

I think I might change my pick from Nashville back to Chicago. That will be a HUGE emotional lift for Chicago.

  At least Jones picked Tampa which could make it but San Jose?? They have a worse history of choking than the Blues! Milbury said the Kings and Bruins! It just goes to show you how much parity there is in the league! Next year maybe Buffalo and Colorado will be in the final. At...

Re: Round One : St. Louis Blues v Minnesota Wild

Minnesota seems to be a popular pick for the WC team that can make a deep run, and I think a lot of that is based on Dubnyk's play. But we also know that Dubnyk, for the majority of his career, has essentially been a dumpster fire. So which is the real Dubnyk? I'm not taking Minnesota lightly, not ...

F- to anyone who didn't pick the Blues to win it all. And write Let's Go Blues on the board 1000 times.
You are supposed to pick who you THINK will win not who you WANT to win.

I agree Kerfuffle. There are people complaining all over the central time zone about these stupid late starts. The ENTIRE year we start at 7pm central in St.Louis then suddenly we need to wait almost 2 hours??

RIDICULOUS!

Hope Hillary is tougher on illegals than Obummer and I actually supported him during his first term. Notice he mentioned NOTHING about amnesty during the 2012 election. If he did he would have lost. I never knew he was a Jekyll and Hyde candidate.
