Let's Go Blues

I always thought beer was supposed to go skunky after a year or two. But I decided to crack a couple of ambers that I hadn't touched for a year and a half, and they're surprisingly good. Better than they were new, I think.

Our power was out for about six hours. The people next door just got theirs back this morning. By a crew who apparently drove down from Iowa. Wild.

Guess we'd better plan to watch a lot of 2-0 home losses. They're going to play good D, but this team couldn't score with Paris Hilton. One of my friends had a good description: Instead of wanting tickets for "Friday's Blues game", people are going to want tickets for "The Penguins game" or "The Oil...

I don't have it on tape, but do you really think I'm crazy enough to make that up? Stuff like that CAN'T be made up. Someone actually has to say it for it to happen.

And then Cusamano declared his wealth of hockey knowledge.

I am not making this up.

Probably as good as could have been expected under the circumstances. Two other problems:

1. My wife no longer has someone she can boo on the home team.

2. When you see the guy on opening night in the upper deck with the "SAVE US, CUBES!" sign...that'll be me.

Now where am I gonna get my Brass Bonanza fix?
