Isles fired Lambert and immediately hired Patrick Roy. Gotta say I a) didn’t see this coming and b) would have been very ok with the Blues hiring Roy. Great move by the fish sticks.

Maybe I’m assessing wrong but the team does appear marginally better under Bannister. Not better enough to remove the interim tag unless they go off on a run and end up winning the Cup….

I'd include Pekarcik in there. Bolduc never seems to cease to disappoint me... I'm starting to wonder if he'll ever be a contributor or just a trade piece. Also very close to giving up on Robertsson.

On D I think you have to include Buchinger and Koromyslov.

I’d argue Kyrou bears the bulk of the responsibility for Berube losing his job. Will Army have the sack to trade him or expect Bannister/whoever the next coach is to make lemonade out of this guy?

Same personnel on the ice, Bannister won't be a miracle maker. Go through the motions, get a top 10 pick in the draft, move whatever pieces you can move and hire a coach who's got more of an offensive mind and less of a hit and grind mind. The players who aren't going anywhere aren't going to thrive...

If we're steering away from a Berube style of hockey Gerard Gallant comes to mind. Otherwise someone new to the coaching carousel that gets plucked out of some other leagu...

I guess Pekarcik was injured because he was sitting on 14 GP for a long time but he’s back in action. As far as I’m concerned he’s absolutely our most intriguing prospect. Doing great in the O and would have been a 1st rounder if he wasn’t barely eligible this past draft.

I can’t wrap my head around Parayko being the longest tenured Blue.

Can't find it anywhere but Juraj Pekarcik hasn't played in a while and I'm guessing he's injured. Weird he'd be a healthy scratch he was having a strong start to the season.
