As recently as 2006-07 the Blackhawks averaged just 12,727 fans, ranking next-to-last in the league and well behind the Predators.

If you look at the replay Petro clearly pushed the Wings player into Allen and even the NBC announcer referenced that. I bet that's why the ref said it was a good goal. Backes should get 1-2 games IMO. He went into the check looking at the numbers the entire time, plenty of time to let up, and still followed through with the hit.
