Re: bitching....again
Sometimes it's really annoying and aggravating being in an office that is 80% female.. Their pettiness and bitchiness seem to take over and they feel more comfortable with it when they're the majority. Lately I've been feeling good about being single cause I don't feel like putting up with the dram...

Re: Additions to your music collection
I've been listening to the new Cynic Traced In Air . The music is top notch, but I the vocals just seem to be wrong. I thought the same thing was true of Focus . On Focus , the vocals reminded me too much of Fear Factory. On Traced In Air , the vocals are just kind of whimpy. It's a good thing the m...

Re: Additions to your music collection
I finally picked up Cynic's "Traced In Air". I'm a little suprised that eMusic had it. I also bought: The Sword - "Gods of the Earth" (doom for hipsters) Electric Wizard - "Dopethrone" (doom for stoners) Enslaved - "Eld" (viking black metal) Sacramentum - "Thy Black Destiny" (melodic death/black met...

He started with Digital Underground as a roadie and turned it into a contract with Death Row records. What did you think I meant?section319 wrote:niceksbluesfan wrote:From roadie to Death Row.section319 wrote:A little digital underground, nice, that's where tupac got his start.

Re: Additions to your music collection
Opeth's My Arms, Your Hearse is so much better than Orchid or Morningrise. It defined who Opeth would become. Good stuff.
No additions today, but I have 75 songs on eMusic waiting for me. I loaded up on blues classics last month -- Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson, Howlin' Wolf, etc.

I've had the album for two months now, but finally procured a physical, legal copy. Yay me.

Re: Europe is so much better than the U.S.
Europe rocks! I listen to "The Final Countdown" at least twice a day. I've never heard of U.S. Do you mean America? America is pretty good, but not as good as Europe. If you mean Gary U.S. Bonds, I still say Europe is better, but only because I get him confused with Mitch Ryder.

Re: bitching....again
If you've wandered into the Classifieds section, then you saw my truck is for sale on ebay. Over the weekend I got a series of questions and e-mails from (what I thought was) a prospective buyer. As his requests for photos and videos of the truck became progressively weirder, I learned that this gu...

Re: anti-bitching, part 3 (?)
We really wanted to see AC/DC too, but their tickets are like $100. Ridiculous. Their act never changes either. Angus does a striptease and moons the crowd every time. I can't think of a single band that I would pay more than $50 to see. If I had a time machine, that would be different. I hav...

Re: anti-bitching, part 3 (?)
Tickets were about 60 bucks. Crazy expensive, but at least I want to see all 3 bands for a change, so that makes it a better value, plus my wife wanted to go really bad and agreed to make this her birthday present. It's our first time seeing Metallica since the Summer Sanitarium tour back in... 200...

Re: Speaker Mute?
I have Sony headphones with a cord that's 5 feet long. I don't have to worry about unplugging it accidentally, and I can crank the music as loud as I want. With earbuds or cheap headphones, the music spills over too much. Sony headphone rule. like...for lack of a better term...the dj style headphon...
