Re: anti-bitching, part 3 (?)

Mikael Ã…kerfeldt needs some new jokes. He says they're just 5 ugly guys from Sweden in every show, even though Martin Mendez is from Uruguay. Why do people try to mosh for Opeth? It's like having a mosh pit for Yes or Rush. Odd. I agree. I was there in the middle of the floor, and people were atte...

Re: anti-bitching, part 3 (?)

I saw Opeth last night. Baroness and High On Fire were also on the ticket, but there was a surprise act as well -- Clutch. Damn, that kicks ass. I heard that Opeth's keyboard player has been filling in with Clutch lately. Did he play with them last night? I thought it was a different guy, but I'm n...

Re: Concrete glue?

There is a patch type cement that makes it stick better than staight cement. I had a similar problem but my patch failed after a year due to water that seeped into the step. I ended up replacing the whole step.

Re: Additions to your music collection

Naglfar - "Harvest"
Entombed - "Out of Hand"

Naglfar is like Dimmu Borgir without the cheese. Entombed is the death metal prototype.

Other than they can carry plague, no, not worse at all. :aaaa:
Squirrels can carry yersinia pestis too. No worse at all.

There goes my dinner plans.

Prairie dogs? They can't be any worse than rabbits or squirrels, can they? My former neighbor loved raccoon and oppossum too.

I downloaded Exhorder's "Get Rude" demo. It's pretty darned good. They're closer to thrash than groove metal.

Re: Additions to your music collection

Lately, I've been getting music exclusively from eMusic. Once in a while, I'll buy from iTunes or buy a hard copy. Opeth's Watershed was worth buying in hard copy and easy to find. Unfortunately, Nyktalgia isn't on eMusic or iTunes.

Re: Additions to your music collection

I'm not terribly impressed with I Shalt Become. They (he?) copy Burzum so much, it's sad. And poorly. They should invest in a metronome. Judas Iscariot is a little better, but the atmosphere is too thin. I don't know how to put my finger on it, but it's not even close to Burzum, which is what I was ...

Oh hell yeah. But if Lars killed himself, James would have replaced him with Hellhammer. And of course, Hellhammer would be treated like shit.

Re: Additions to your music collection

Metallica would have gone down as the greatest metal band of all time if James would have killed himself after the Black Album. Now, they're damned if they do, damned if they don't. The best they can hope for is to create something that will get a lot of radio play on stations like K-SHE and build a...
