Wow. Unsurprisingly, Weight sounds a bit bitter . Here is a sample: When asked how the deal unfolded and why he waived his no-trade clause, Weight said: “I just don’t feel like I want to comment on that. It is what it is . . . Over the last 15 years, I’ve developed a pretty good reputation an...

Yeah, he did. Really pissed, actually.
Did he have like a news conference or something? I wanna hear this...
He was quoted in the newspaper and didn't sound too pleased...
:?

Still curious- anyone have a linky to STL newspapers or something?

I don't know. He sounded kinda pissed. Yeah, he did. Really pissed, actually. Did he have like a news conference or something? I wanna hear this... In any case, that's stark contrast to when he was traded to the Canes but had a BLUES conference with the bluenotes behind him and everything even thou...

On February 1st, I, for one, will be in attendance to give Doug Weight a hearty welcome when he comes back. I'll put it this way, if he comes back, it's going to cost the Blues very little to do so, otherwise, it isn't going to happen. That would be my take on it. A warm fuzzy isn't a good enough r...

Is Weight going to call it a career then or what? Of course not. In the off-season, the Blues will sign Dug Waitz and he will play teh hockies until we trade him again. Duh. 2 rentals in three seasons? If I were Weight, I'd be getting sick of that. I personally think that's it for him in the ...

Weight will be an unrestricted free agent next summer. His contract cash will be converted into bucks for Perry. A happy convergence, to say the least. If I read this right, the Ducks are PLANNING to let Weight walk in the summer to make sure they can keep Perry? After what happened with Penner (si...

Alright, I crunched the numbers. As Weight will probably not be back in the bluenote, here are his career Blues numbers.

364 Games Played] 75 Goals] 220 Assists] 295 Points] +4]

Good luck sir...

Proverbial epithet on the Doug Weight Blues tombstone  :( But time has passed Weight by, and he no longer is a player who can be a first-line presence. He turns 37 in January. His terrible start to the season proved, at the very least, that he no longer had a place in the St. Louis Blues' futur...

Over at the Ducks official forum, it seems to be about half and half...some are happy about the deal, others are not. Some seem to think that Weight will put up good numbers with Bertuzzi. In here...everyone seems to be delirious with joy. I honestly don't see how anyone can think the Ducks got the...

That seemed to be the way it was rolling when we got him back from the Canes, so that's why I'm shocked right now, i mean, he was a franchise man for sure but the opportunity to swing a deal like this, I mean you can't pass that up, you just can't.
