Re: Andy Strickland likes how T.J. Oshie "handles his busine
Yeah, and besides...Strickland probably got his job, at least in part, because of his cool last name. It just sounds...sportsy.

Re: GDT: NHL Trade Deadline Day (2-27-12)
I'll go ahead and beat the dead horse though...I see our additions as Steener, Langs, and Dags coming back healthy, hoping that nobody else goes down in the process. That, and the fact that this whole 'we need a scorer' angle is completely overblown. During the Winnipeg game, Panger mentioned talki...

Re: Andy Strickland likes how T.J. Oshie "handles his busine
Whatever this means: "area's." This is a professional journalist, mind you. More to come, OB I noted your word "journalist" as opposed to "Journalist". There's a difference and I appreciate that. However, Strickland is neither. One starts a sentence and the other doesn't? Negative. There are severa...

Re: Blues Not Convinced They Need To Make Trades
Not only that Theo, but what is also a contributor is that 'scoring forward' doesn't mean what it used to... these days an elite scoring forward averages 35 goals per season. He'll score 45 goals, then 32, then 36, and so on. In addition, ad nauseum, these players are often not available for obvious...

Man, I'm sick of this crap.
It takes a true masochist to follow this team right now.

Re: If Your Son Was Good Enough to Play in the NHL...
LOL, for what its worth, I only made it 2 games into the regular season before I quit and started my Blues Be-A-GM. Get this...I never sim games, play all 82... I started my season 9-1-2 just like the Blues did this year and have hit the 20 game mark with a 5-game losing streak...and in game number ...

Re: If Your Son Was Good Enough to Play in the NHL...
Thats a funny question... Here is a twist to it... I was playing NHL 11 and decided to give the Be A Pro a try. If you don't know already, in NHL 11's Be A Pro, you play the CHL championship and how well you do determines your draft position. Well, I did okay but was drafted in the 3rd round by who?...

I have a feeling we'll see the best of the Blues PP on the road. They should loosen up a bit.
On another Note, it was amazing how much more space the Ducks gave the Blues on the PP than the Flyers. Totally different PK strategy.

Wishful thinking, maybe...
But, I was wondering if anyone knows where to get good deals on Blues tickets. My wife and I are coming to St. Louis in late October (I only make it there every few years) and I wanted to go to the Pens/Blues game. Any suggestions??? For example, what are the odds I can get tickets from a scalper???...

Re: Kovalchuk exploring KHL options as decision on Devils linger
It's debatable as to whether he's even in the top 10. There is more to being a good player than just scoring goals...and thats all he does.

Re: Tarasenko extends his KHL contract
Just a question...I'm not a contract rules expert at all, but if Tarasenko's KHL season ends earlier than the NHL season, could we see him later in the year???
LOL...lets just drag out all the possibilities, eh???
On another note, my Xbox got the RROD two days before the NHL 11 demo.

Operation Sports hired me to write a hockey column...
Hey everyone... I was hired by Operation Sports to write a hockey column called Pucking Ridiculous (The OBG Chronicles) . If you haven't heard of OS, its probably to largest sports gaming website on the internet. The forum has 180,000 members. I've written two articles this month...here they are: Th...

Re: WHAT IF...We Trade Brewer and Elect Oshie as Captain??
Oshie in no way said what some here claimed he said. He was trying to say that he missed playing his college hockey...any kid would (and should ) have said the same. Just like when Kerber asked Osh if he was 'ready' for the playoffs after we clinched against Columbus, he said (with the dwindling con...

Classic, Kodos.
R.I.P, Sir Schmidt
Sad that he died only to miss these guys one day winning a Cup...or more likely, another Presidents Trophy.
This thread is HOF already.
And the Blues just beat the Wild...here they come...
