Re: Thoughts on switching to Discord?
Ok, I finally got back around to this. The LGB discord has been revamped. New channels, got rid of the old ones... and I added a few "forum style" channels to mimic more of a discussion forum style, along with a standard gameday chat channel. It's a work in progress... so hop on over, check it out a...

Thoughts on switching to Discord?
Totally spitballing here... But we have a Discord server: discord.gg/FmkMuBJHzM (www.letsgoblues.com/discord) Right now it's branded Let's Go Blues Radio, but that could easily be rebranded to LetsGoBlues.com. And we could tweak it in other ways too. It doesn't get a ton of use, but I'd like to see ...

Doug Armstrong's Resume w/the Blues
I shared this on Twitter the morning of the trade deadline, and a number of people seemed shocked. 📢 @NHL TRADE DEADLINE PSA The #STLBlues' cumulative stats under GM Doug Armstrong (who was hired in 2010): -1st in the West in points -1st in the West in GF -2nd in the West in GA -2nd in the West in P...

Ryan O'Reilly: Broken finger... on LTIR.
A big OOF for the Leafs. https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article/maple-leafs-placing-oreilly-on-ltir-with-broken-finger-tavares-out-vs-devils/ O'Reilly left Saturday's game against the Vancouver Canucks in the second period after getting hit in the left hand with a puck off an Auston Matthews shot. He ...

Re: Barbashev to Vegas
Barbashev was also very complimentary of Armstrong and the Blues in how they handled his request to play on a playoff team this season. The Blues wanted to re-sign him, but respected his wishes on being traded. That can only bode well for his return in the offseason as a UFA... but... I think he's g...

Re: Whose your playoff team for 2023 (since the Blues are out)
Anyone but Boston... and I'm anti-Rangers now since Kane is there. But I'm really just looking forward to watching what's going to be a bloodbath in the East. There's going to be some REALLY pissed off (and very good) teams that spent a lot to bolster their rosters, not even make it out of th...

Re: Future Expansion
Every time the NHL wants to expand, it seems like the fans are against it.
And this is another one of those times.
I'd rather they not expand. But you know they will... because money.

Re: Trade Deadline 2023
Cool with this move.
There's some upside potential here... low risk too. Only 1 more year on his contract, so he has to prove himself.
Not expecting a ton, but let's see what he can do.

Re: Tarasenko to Rangers
Late to the party here... but I was ok with the trade return. I'm not sure what people expected. (And that conditional 4th rd pick will be a 3rd rd pick since the Rangers will make the playoffs.) The 1st is good. The 4th, er, 3rd is meh. The prospect is meh. But I like getting Blais back. Solid bott...

Re: Perunovich Out
FWIW... Perunovich was asked about being "injury prone" a few days ago and he said before his shoulder & wrist injury, he had never been injured before in his career. Also, his doctor said his wrist injury was flukey. So not sure if that kind of injury fits into the conversation or not. :?: Should w...

Re: Tarasenko requesting a trade
I'm strongly in favor of a rebuild. 100% agreed it's better than being stuck in the middle and getting shafted with some lousy draft positions but also not being remotely good enough to complete through four rounds of the playoffs. I see teams like Colorado, Vegas, Tampa Bay and what I see is a com...

Re: 2021 Trade Deadline stuff
The problem is getting in situations where they can us Hoffman that way. Too often, when he has to handle the puck coming out of the Blues zone, he turns it over and teams like Vegas and Colorado are forcing the play when Hoffman is on the ice to wherever Hoffman is - knowing he isn't good at movin...

Re: 2021 Trade Deadline stuff
Geez, at those prices I’d have seriously entertained offers for Hoffman. I know we need him with Thomas and sunny out but dang, could we have gotten two firsts (or a first and second) for him? No, we likely couldn't have. There was a bidding war behind the scenes for Mantha and Yzerman, whose been ...

Public visitation at Enterprise on Friday the 16th.
I'm gonna head on down there.
First time at Enterprise since before the pandemic. Seems like a good reason to return.

Probably the right call.
No need to have however many fans milling about when shit is going down in downtown.
Kinda asking for trouble.

Re: ESPN TV Deal
I'm not going to get too pessimistic about the whole thing until I see how ESPN actually handles it. All of what you said are valid concerns. Going to a network that absolutely doesn't give a shit about the NHL, is a cause for concern. But...it's cost prohibitive for the NHL to promote what they're ...

Re: Binnington extended
What's not to like, right? Certainly a fair deal for him. We didn't overpay, which is a no-brainer good thing. The 6 years may seem like a long time, but he'll only be 34 when it's up...and he's certainly movable going into the last year of the contract (should they really want to move on at that po...

Re: Tony Deangelo waived by Rags
Word is he has caused problems with a number of players, including Miller, who is the one who broke up the fight and clocked Deangelo in the process.
Nobody wants that shit in the locker room.
