Re: Your worst All-Time Blue?

At this pace, it will take half a season (40 games) for the entire team to score 86 goals. Unlike a certain HOF who scored that many by himself in one season.

Re: Your worst All-Time Blue?

Anyone remember defenseman Gerry Hart? Circa 1982.

All I can remember is him trying to freeze the puck in the corners on virtually all of his shifts.

Re: Your worst All-Time Blue?

Amen.

How about trading for 18 of the 20 players on the roster [save for MacInnis and Hull], then claiming it is not "my team."

Re: Your worst All-Time Blue?

Which one of the two criticized the leadership of two Hall of Famers, Brett Hull and Al MacInnis? That's the answer for most despicable management person.

Re: Your worst All-Time Blue?

1) Mike Keenan because his incompetence hurt us for years after his firing. His only good move was to nix that horrible jersey design. 2) Jocelyn Lemieux. Because much is expected (needed) from a No. 1 draft pick. The first time I saw him, he looked like a left-handed version of Cam Janssen. I was a...

Re: New MacInnis Statue

On the statue, the butt end of the stick protrudes beyond MacInnis' glove as if he choked up on the end. In real life, MacInnis appears to use his left glove hand to grasp the butt end, rather than to choke up. No statue can be 100 percent accurate, but that detail is jarring to me. Did Mac not noti...

Re: Blues Uni question

Third jersey sucks. Nice concept, poor execution. The most distinctive element is the Arch, yet it ends up in the background behind the Blue Note. Um, excuse me, but the Blue Note is prominently featured in the primary and secondary logos. The third jersey logo looks like something that might have b...

Re: King's Ransom

He deserved to be one of the highest paid players. It doesn't make him a villain. ... I don't blame Gretzky for seeking the pot of gold. But he seems to paint himself as a victim, when in fact, he precipitated the trade with his salary demand. Pocklington did exactly what has now become commonplace...

Re: King's Ransom

Gretzky wanted to be one of the highest-paid players in the game while playing in one of the smallest markets (Edmonton). That was not going to happen.

He and Pocklington are both villains, but I choose Gretzky as the bigger one.

Calendar Wanted

Anyone willing to help a Blues fan in Atlanta?

I would love to have a new Blues calendar on my wall. In return, I can scrawl your initials on a brick on the side of my house.

Thank you.

National Publicity for this Site

Congratulations to the esteemed Curt Price, Ruler-for-Life of LetsGoBlues.com. Mr. Price, and this site, was quoted in the September 7 issue of "The Hockey News" as part of a preview story on the Blues. For those who did not see the THN story, Mr Price hailed the Blues' younger players and concluded...

Re: Blues sign Lampman

Did the Blues send out an e-mail to fans with this announcement? I'm curious if the Blues are savvy enough to capitalize on modern communication tools? Or am I stuck reading the agate section in USA Today? The e-mails I receive from the Blues are generally related to ticket offers, community activit...

I wasn't listening too closely to the broadcast, but I just heard Bernie Federko make a reference to his statue being moved outside along Al's.

If they replace the bunny statue, I'll be thrilled. Bernie and Al's can be to the Blues what the Musial statue is to the Cardinals.
