Re: Monday Night Miracle

Not a backwards logo. Rather the "mirror" effect of self-operated camera. No name on the back. Thanks.

Re: Blues Jersey Artwork (rest of teams as well)

I shudder whenever I see the red color on a jersey for a team named Blues.

Possible Silver Lining

If the NHL season is delayed for a lengthy period of time, they may end up canceling the pre-season games, which would entitle us season ticket holders to a refund for the canceled scrimmages, er, games. It's aggravating having to pay regular-season prices for those glorified practices.

Blues Framed Pix for Sale

[UPDATED Again] Apparently I overestimated the interest in my items. So I'm lowering the prices. *************** I am selling some Blues items on this site. Longtime members of LGB may remember that I have been giving away a lot of Blues stuff in the last couple years because of a move from Atlanta ...

Arena seat available

From the old Arena. Can be yours. Giving it away free. BUT you have to pay for shipping from Atlanta. My uneducated guess is close to $100. This is limited time offer. expires this Wednesday at 11 pm. I'm moving out, hence the rush offer. Private email is hallplante at gmail dot com. First come firs...

Erik Johnson (RFA) and Jay McClement (UFA) will be free agents. The Blues could sign both and claim a decisive win in the Johnson trade. [smile]

Re: Curse of Laurie

Your point is valid that teams do not get a return for retired players. But in the case of Brett Hull (and others), he was a pending free agent. The Blues knew they were not going to re-sign him, so they should have traded him for some assets rather than to let him walk away to Dallas in return for ...

Curse of Laurie

Chris Pronger was traded for Eric Brewer (centerpiece) who was traded for Brock Beukeboom who begat ... well, nothing. Screw you, Bill Laurie! Update: As dmiles2186 points out, in Brewer trade Blues also got 3rd round pick used for goalie prospect Jordan Binnington. So there's a chance Pronger-Brewe...

Message Board

During tonight's (Thursday) game, message board posted "This Date in Blues History." Unless my eyes deceived me, it said that on April 14, 1981, Mike Crombeen scored the winner for a 4-3 win to help the Blues advance TO the playoffs. It did not say advance IN the playoffs or win a playoff series. Ad...
