Re: GDT NHL Draft Day 1 (Round 1): 6/26/15 | 6:00PM CST | NB
Draft picks don't win us a cup this year. I'm fine about not moving core players for picks.....besides Berglund I really thought he would be traded for picks. If we move core players its to better the team this year and next to make a run at the cup. We will see moves hopefully sooner than latter, b...

And they still have two capable goalies and dumped Legwands salary not two bad for the Sens. I bet Buffalo moves Legwand again before its over.Kerfuffle wrote:Ottawa now has the 18th and 21st overall picks - not bad.

Re: Blues open season Oct 8 against the Connor McDavids
Sucks to know we'll be the team against who McDavid scores his first NHL goal... To be fair, if I'm not mistaken, Crosby has never scored against the Blues. I get that there are far fewer games against Pittsburgh than what there will be against Edmonton, but we do seem pretty decent at shutting dow...

NHL to announce opening of expansion process
Sportsnet Chris Johnston June 24, 2015, 1:05 PM LAS VEGAS — The time has come. The NHL is ready to expand beyond 30 teams. Barring something unforeseen, commissioner Gary Bettman will emerge from today’s board of governors meeting at the Bellagio Hotel and announce that the league is opening a form...

I'd rather pick up that headcase in toronto than nash and both those teams better eat some money before I would even look at taking them on.

Re: NHL to Adopt 3 on 3 OT
I would rather seen them extend overtime to 10 min, but Im ok with 3 on 3. Its going to drive coaches crazy trying to figure out who to use or roll between 2 forwards and 1 D in the offensive zone then try to quickly change to 1 forward and 2 D as the play moves the other way. I think it will fun to...

Re: Rumor: Oshie to Caps for 1st Rd. Pick
For the #22 pick, no. If they turn the #22 into a higher pick with a follow up trade then sure. Still not sure what Tom Wilsons worth is but could we trade the #22 pick and Wilson to move up? And honestly I know you want Strome but if he doesn't work out right away or in fact any 1st rounder we mig...

Re: Rumor: Oshie to Caps for 1st Rd. Pick
Oshie and our 4th or early 5th for the Caps 1st rounder and Tom Wilson or Troy Brouwer. Brouwer is a tad cheaper than Oshie puts up like numbers. Tom Wilson is well Tom Wilson....Reckless IMO on the way he hits, low point production but is only 21 years old and still developing. Play between the 4th...

Re: LeBrun - Blues open to moving Backes, Oshie, Berglund
http://thehockeywriters.com/oshie-fits-the-penguins-needs/ Bringing in Brandon Sutter would be a wash Salary wise, but improves 3rd/4th line center and he can play the wing too, plus it sounds like we could get prospects or picks along with him, though I don't pittsburg wants to move picks and not ...

Re: LeBrun - Blues open to moving Backes, Oshie, Berglund
Hitchcock and Armstrong. One of Armstrong's quotes today is damn near word-for-word irt Ty Rattie. He'll get e "long look" which is the same thing said last season. He did get more playing time this year and honestly he didn't impress me that much either. I bet he will make the team this year thoug...

I hope when the schedule comes out next week that our 2 teams have a weekend day game so I can take my kids down to St. Louis fo...

Re: TSN Blues Offseason Game Plan 2015
The mental aspect is another story and that's where I agree with you. What makes Toews so good? He doesn't let the moment get to him. Same with Jonathan Quick. We have an entire team, aside from Tarasenko and Petro, that seem to tighten up when things go wrong. We give up a bad goal? We rarely answ...
