Re: CALIFORNIA BLUES FANS
I would like to just throw this out there and see how far this forum will reach. I live in California, I was taught the game of Hockey by watching the St Louis Blues, when I was living in Missouri, as my friend would explain the rules etc. Anyways, Im back in California and have no Blues fans out h...

Re: Stewart trade bait?
I think trading Stewart now would be idiotic unless some team totally overpaid for him. But you don't sell low. Also, I think we'll see a different guy when we get into the playoffs. I think because the team is doing well he hasn't been digging that deep, but he's got another level and Hitch will ge...

Re: Maybe we can finally move Jacks........
I think all the pundits saying the Preds would trade Weber are high on something. That is the core they build from. As for Pitkanen, no thank you. While I think Jacks has been playing fairly well, sometimes I just  when he passes it right up the middle in his own zone onto the tape of the oppos...

Re: Darren Pang: "This team can win the Stanley Cup"
Let's just hold our horses and see what happens when this team hits a rough patch. I agree with Panger that the way they're playing right now would do well in the playoffs, its a long way to April. Are they going to be able to keep their "foot on the gas"? :letsgoblues: :detsucks: :letsgoblues: :gob...

Re: What would you trade for Bobby Ryan?
No way I'd trade Stewart, Pollack, Pie or Shatt22. Bergie is a big maybe. Honestly, I'd prefer to wait and see what this team can do with Perron and MacD back. Maybe trade Colliacovo (when he gets healthy), Bergie and a 1st rounder. Anaheim would laugh me out of the room, but (Frank)'em, they're the...

After the last couple of games, I think Jackman needs to be a healthy scratch for a game or two, seems like he's just making some poor decisions.

Does anyone else get the impression from this article that the Blues are going to try to get him over after the KHL season ends? The KHL regular season ends Feb. 26. No idea how long the playoffs can go.

Re: Stewart Suspension.....3 Games
I'm good with this. I think it gives Stewie a few games in the press box and maybe he'll get his head on straight. Saves Hitchcock having to scratch him. Blues played a hell of a game last night after he got sent off.

Re: Andy Mac injured
My understanding from reading about it was that Nikitin pushed AMac into the Stars player. Nikitin has had some bad luck so far. Two goals go in off him and now this. Time to see what Chorley can do.drwoland wrote:The stars need to die the next time they are in St. Louis. We can't let this shit go on.

According to NHL.com, December 5th and 6th. Should be plenty of time to wrap it up and have a good idea whether the team will be buyers or sellers at the deadline.STLADOGG wrote:I wonder when the next Board of Governors meeting will be?

I met Salei the summer after he was drafted by the Ducks. Great kid, unbelievable work ethic and attitude. This is a terrible tragedy. A sad summer for hockey indeed.

Re: Stan Bowman is an idiot
Tallon must have done this as a favor to his old team. I can't think of any other reason why anyone would take this contract. At first I thought this must be a front loaded contract so the Panthers would have a $7M cap hit but wouldn't have to pay that much, but I can't find any evidence of this. Ca...

Cam Barker on waivers. Do the Blues take a shot? His production has plummeted since he peaked with 40 points with the Blackhawks a few years ago. But he's a former top 5 picks, he's only 25... I say hell yeah!!! And I think we should make a run at Tyler Kennedy from the Pens who will be a UFA Frida...

Re: Any interest in Blues acquiring Ryan Smyth?
I'd like the see the Blues package Ben Bishop, Mark Cundari and a 2nd to Florida for their first and then draft Gabriel Landeskog and sign a UFA backup goalie. I bet Florida would do it too, A) because Bishop would probably step right into their #1 role and B) because Cundari would provide some off...

Re: draft
I'd be happy with Saad or Grimaldi. As for the Hawks, I'll reserve judgement until the start of the season. Clearly these moves are part of a larger strategy. What I don't understand is why clubs keep signing guys to these ridiculous deals? How about the Sharks/Wild trade? When I first heard it I th...

Any interest in Blues acquiring Ryan Smyth?
I know his best days are behind him, but I've always liked his hard nose approach to the game. Could be a good leadership (Mellanby) type. Cost is a late round draft pick and a bad contract. Thoughts?
